Welcome Back!

We hope summer has treated you well, but we’re back! With a new exec who will lead the chapter with more fun-filled events, programming and publishing, we hope you’re excited for this new semester. Here’s the important news:

Activities Night – Drop by the JHR table at SSMU’s annual volunteering event, the only time where all University clubs join forces under one roof. Come learn about what we do and what we have planned for this year. Even if you’re a seasoned JHR volunteer, stop by for a chat!

September 14th and 15th, 3-7 pm, SSMU Building.

General Meeting – Come meet the entire exec and the volunteers that you’ll be working with this year! You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, present new ideas and learn about the different aspects of JHR McGill, including our human rights newspaper Speak!, JHR Radio, and Events.

September 22nd, 6-7:30 pm, SSMU Clubs’ Lounge (4th fl. of the SSMU Building, take the back stairs or the elevator).

VP Radio Position – JHR McGill is looking for a new VP Radio to head our Radio team! The VP Radio coordinates member training at CKUT (90.3FM) and leads the Radio team’s efforts in putting together shows on human rights issues in Montreal and abroad. Some experience with recording and production is preferable, but not necessary! If you are interested in this position, please email jhrmcgill@gmail.com with a brief explanation of why you think you would be a great VP Radio!

And don’t forget, Train the Trainer is from September 25th-27th this year. Any inquiries should be directed to mcgillttt2009@gmail.com.

If you have any questions, email us at jhrmcgill@gmail.com.
